In the vast, deep blue ocean, surrounded by tall, misty mountains, lived a huge, kind-hearted whale named Wally. Wally was a beautiful shade of bright blue with lighter spots on his back. He loved to leap out of the water, making big splashes, but most of all, he loved listening to the quiet, peaceful songs of the ocean deep.

Wally was the largest creature in the area, and he knew it. He always tried to be very careful so his big size wouldn’t cause problems for his smaller neighbors, like the tiny fish and the playful dolphins.

One morning, Wally was swimming near the surface when he noticed a problem. A school of small, bright orange fish were swimming frantically in circles. They looked very confused.

Wally gently lowered his head near them. “What’s wrong, little ones?” he rumbled.

”Oh, Wally!” cried the smallest fish. “We’ve lost our way! The ocean currents changed last night, and now we can’t find the warm, shallow reef where we eat. We are too small to see a path!”

Wally knew he had to help. He couldn’t push the fish or carry them on his back like a hippo, but he could use his huge size in a different way.

He swam to the back of the school of fish and started to swim very, very slowly. He used his massive tail not to make a splash, but to create a gentle, steady current behind them.

This soft current pushed the tiny fish forward in one straight line, like an invisible guide. The fish felt the current and started to follow it.

Wally swam like this for a long time, patiently guiding the little school. He kept his eye on the distant shore, using his great height in the water to look over the waves.

Finally, Wally saw the familiar colorful glow of the shallow coral reef! He gently stopped swimming and let the soft current guide the fish the last little bit.

The small fish cheered loudly, swirling around the big, kind whale. “Thank you, Wally!” they cried. “You were our gentle ocean guide! Your power helped us find our home!”

Wally smiled, feeling the warmth of the sun on his back. He realized that his great size wasn’t just for making huge splashes; it was his unique ability to create a path and stability for others. Wally, the gentle giant, was proud to be the protector of the quiet waters.
