In a warm, sunny savanna with tall brown mountains and big shady trees, lived a brave lion named Leo. Leo was very easy to recognize because he had a magnificent, bright red mane that looked like the petals of a giant flower. He had golden fur and a long tail with a matching red tip.
Leo sat proudly on the golden sand every day. While he looked very strong and serious, he actually had a very kind and golden heart. He spent his time making sure all the animals in his kingdom were happy and safe.
One afternoon, a small meerkat was trying to find its way home through the thick green bushes. The meerkat was worried because the sun was starting to set behind the white clouds.
”Don’t be afraid,” Leo said with a gentle, deep voice. He stood up and walked alongside the meerkat, his big paws making soft sounds on the ground. With Leo by its side, the meerkat felt very brave.
When they reached the meerkat’s home, the little animal thanked Leo. “You really are the King of the Jungle, Leo! You are so strong and so kind.”
Leo smiled, showing just one small tooth. He realized that being a true king wasn’t just about having the loudest roar or the biggest red mane. It was about using his strength to help others. Leo returned to his spot under the tree, feeling happy to be the protector of the savanna.
