In a big green field, under a tall, shady tree, lived a friendly cow named Daisy. Daisy was a beautiful cow with a coat of white and big, dark purple spots. She had bright, happy eyes and a pink nose that wiggled when she smelled the sweet grass.

Every morning, Daisy woke up to the sound of the birds singing. She would stretch her legs and look up at the big blue sky. Sometimes, a fluffy white cloud would float by, and Daisy would pretend it was a giant marshmallow.

Her favorite thing to do was to eat the fresh, juicy grass. “Moo!” she would say, which meant, “This grass is so delicious!” She would walk along a little dirt path that went all around her field.

One sunny afternoon, as she was enjoying her lunch, she heard a little giggle. She looked up and saw a small bird with a red hat on its head, sitting on a branch of her favorite tree.

”Hello there!” said the bird. “You have such pretty spots!”

Daisy smiled. “Thank you!” she said. “Your hat is very nice, too.”

From that day on, Daisy and the little bird were the best of friends. They would talk and play all day long. Daisy taught the bird how to find the best patches of grass, and the bird would sing beautiful songs for Daisy.

Daisy was a very happy cow. She had a wonderful home, delicious grass to eat, and a kind friend to share her days with. And she knew that every day in her green field was a new adventure waiting to begin.
